Dr. Niyati Vikrant Pandya

I am honored to serve as a Government of Gujarat–nominated Member of the Executive Council of Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University (MKBU), where I actively contribute to institutional governance, policy formulation, and academic development with a focus on long-term university growth and student welfare.

I have successfully completed my Ph.D. in Temple Management, supported by a strong academic foundation that includes an MBA from Symbiosis University, Pune, a PGDBM from MKBU, and a B.Sc. in Information Technology.

Raised in a family deeply rooted in social service through the Swadhyay Parivar, I carried these values into my married life, further shaped by the ethos of the Sangh Parivar. This environment, with close associations to organizations such as RSS, ABVP, Sagar Bharti, and Bhartiya Vichar Manch, has played a significant role in my ideological and societal outlook.

My journey in public and community life has evolved steadily over the years. I served as President of ABVP Bhavnagar in 2022, following my tenure as Vice President, and later took on wider organizational responsibilities, including working with Vishwa Mangalya Sabha. In parallel, I remain actively engaged with professional and institutional bodies such as BESIA, contributing to education, entrepreneurship, and civic development initiatives.

#ShriVastralaya Donate Saree

Shri Vastralaya

Shri Vastralaya is a social service initiative dedicated to helping middle-class families celebrate life’s auspicious occasions with dignity and pride. In many marriages today, parents spend thousands of rupees on saris, money that could otherwise be saved or invested for the daughter’s future. Inspired by the Sanatan tradition of daan and the vision of Shri Narendra Modi to empower women, Shri Vastralaya seeks to reduce this burden while ensuring that no woman is deprived of the joy of adorning herself beautifully on special occasions.

I invite individuals, families, and organisations to join hands with me by donating saris that are new or in good condition. Those that are fresh and like new will be set aside for brides and their close family members, who can receive them on presenting a wedding invitation card. Other saris will be distributed with respect among women in need during festivals and community programmes. Together, we can create a cycle of sharing, where unused saris become blessings for another family.

Become a Saree Donor

Be a part of this noble cause — donate a sari today and help light up someone’s life. To arrange your donation or learn more about Shri Vastralaya, please contact me and take the first step towards supporting a bride, her family, and her future.

Your one sari can bring joy, pride, and dignity to a woman who longs to celebrate life’s special moments. We welcome your kind donations.

#RutumatiKit Support

Rutumati Kit Project

Rutumati Kit Project has its roots in my long-standing work for women’s health awareness. During my tenure as President and Vice President of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Bhavnagar, I worked closely with Students for Seva (SFS) to organize talks on menstrual hygiene in schools and colleges, where experts guided students on health, hygiene, and self-care. These experiences gave me deep insight into the challenges girls face — not only the lack of awareness but also the absence of timely access to essential hygiene products.

After being appointed as a Government of Gujarat–nominated Executive Council Member of M. K. Bhavnagar University, I felt it was time to take this work to the next level. Instead of focusing only on awareness lectures, I conceptualised a more practical and impactful approach — placing Rutumati Kits in educational institutions and workplaces where women are present. Each kit contains 25–30 sanitary pads, basic medicines, and other useful items, kept with a designated female staff member to ensure they are always available when needed. Launched on 7 March 2025 as part of the International Women’s Day celebrations at the University’s New Senate Hall, this initiative combines awareness with immediate access, empowering girls to manage their menstrual health with dignity and confidence.

#Deepotsava Support

Bhavnagar Deepotsava 2024
Bhavnagar Deepotsava is a cultural and devotional initiative that I started in 2024 with the aim of bringing the community together in celebration of light, faith, and unity. The first event was organised at the Bala Hanuman Temple during the Diwali festival, where we lit 1,111 diyas in the temple premises, creating a divine and memorable atmosphere. This was not just an act of devotion, but also a way to inspire people to reconnect with our traditions and participate in collective cultural expression.

The overwhelming response to the first Bhavnagar Deepotsava encouraged me to plan it as an annual tradition, with the scale and participation growing every year. My vision is to make this festival a signature event of Bhavnagar, where thousands of devotees, families, and youth come together to light diyas, sing bhajans, and celebrate the spirit of Diwali. By fostering a sense of belonging and cultural pride, Bhavnagar Deepotsava aims to strengthen our city’s identity while promoting harmony, devotion, and community participation.

#ReviveBhavnagar

ભાવનગરને ફરી થી ૧૯૪૭માં હતું એવું જાજરમાન બનાવવા
આપણાં સહુ નો પ્રયાસ !

Revive Bhavnagar is a citizen-driven mission I started to transform our city into a vibrant hub of growth, opportunity, and pride. The vision is clear — to address the civic issues that have held us back for years and to create a platform where every resident can contribute to the city’s progress. Through this initiative, people are encouraged to report problems, suggest solutions, volunteer their time, or donate resources. Whether it’s repairing a pothole, improving public spaces, or launching creative community projects, Revive Bhavnagar is about turning ideas into action. By combining community participation with innovative thinking, this movement aims to bring sustainable change, strengthen civic responsibility, and ensure that Bhavnagar’s development reflects the aspirations of its people.

  • We demanded the construction of a Bhavnagar–Ahmedabad Four-Lane Highway, which ultimately resulted in the sanctioning of the Dholera–Ahmedabad Expressway, enhancing regional connectivity.
  • We requested the removal of paver blocks from the road dividers and urged the authorities to plant trees or shrubs instead. Today, the dividers across Bhavnagar are lined with greenery, adding beauty and improving the environment.
  • I appealed for the cleaning of Ravechi Dham Lake, which had been overtaken by dense Parna Kumbhi vegetation. This clean-up drive restored the lake’s natural charm and usability.

The fourth major success came when I interacted directly with Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, presenting the vision and needs of our city. This dialogue resulted in the historic announcement of an IT Park in Bhavnagar, opening doors for economic growth, employment opportunities, and technological advancement in the region. Each of these achievements was made possible not just through my efforts, but through the overwhelming support of the people of Bhavnagar, who amplified these demands by sharing them widely, creating public pressure, and building an atmosphere conducive to development. Revive Bhavnagar continues with the same spirit — to turn the collective will of the people into lasting transformation.
